Providence Surgery Center will submit claims to your insurance company. It is important that correct and current information is given to us at the time of admission to our facility. Please remember that your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company, and you have final responsibility for payment of your bill. If your insurance company has not paid in forty-five days, please contact them to resolve the payment issue. Secondary insurance is billed after the primary insurance pays provided that information is given.
After your insurance company has processed the claim, the balance is due within thirty (30) days. Providence Surgery Center accepts: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, cash, check, and online bill pay.
You may receive more than one bill. Other providers, such as your physician, pathologist, anesthesiologist, radiology may also send separate billing statements.
To comply with the No Surprise Billing Act, Providence Surgery Center will be providing you with an estimation of your bill for services via email and/or text message. The message you will receive will have out-of-pocket expenses (deductible/co-insurance-copay) you may be responsible for. It is important to note this amount could change when the insurance company finalizes your claim. We will collect the patient responsibility portion at the time of service. If you would like to pay for your procedure in advance, please follow the link in the estimate you receive or call our office.

What are some common insurance terms I should know?
Co-Payment – The portion of your medical bill which you must pay each time you visit the doctor or a facility. This fee is pre-set by your health insurance plan.
Co-Insurance – The portion of your bill, in addition to any co-pay, that you are responsible for which is a percentage of your total medical bill.
Deductible – A specified amount you must pay before your insurance company will pay any amount on your claim.
Will I receive a bill if I have met my deductible?
This is all dependent upon your plan. Many plans have a deductible and Out of Pocket Maximum. Depending on your plan, you will be responsible for a co-insurance amount after your deductible until your Out of Pocket is met. It is important to know your benefits and any exclusions to your plan. For information on your plan, please call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card.
Will I only receive a bill from the surgery center?
Depending on your specific procedure, you will receive at least two separate bills for the services rendered. You will receive a bill from Providence Surgery Center and your Physician’s office. Any anesthesia you may receive during your surgery is provided by Missoula Anesthesiology. Any questions regarding anesthesia you may receive during the surgery may be addressed with Missoula Anesthesiology (406) 728-8420.
